God Centered Growth is a phrase that encompasses the vision and beliefs of First Baptist Church of Norton (FBCN). FBCN has the vision of maintaining a service that is rooted in our hymns but also contains contemporary worship. We believe that God must be the center of our worship, our growth as a church, and our growth as individuals. There are far too many places that forget not all growth is God Centered Growth. Romans 8:28 tells us, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” We also see Proverbs 16:9 “ The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” These two scriptures are indicative of the intent of FBCN, We know that if the Lord is in everything it will work for good. We also understand that we may make plans but God will be the leader. This seems like a simple concept, but in the world we live in today, God Centered Growth is far from simple.
